Breads

I've been on a bread making kick. I am making my own bread now instead of purchasing at the local store. With the rising price of flour and such, I am now making my own for my large family. I Hope you enjoy the recipes!

1 1/2 pound loaf

This is what I do in my Toastmaster bread machine..............

1 pound loaf:

3/4 cup of water 80 degree temp

4 tsp oil  veg.

4 tsp sugar

1 tsp salt

2 1/4 cups of reg flour like Pillsbury or Robin Hood

Red star active dry yeast 1 1/2 tsp

Put all ingredients into the bread container in the order given above.  I then put it on DOUGH Program.  I then hit the start button.  I check it in a few mins to see if the ingredients are combined nicely.  Then when the time is up I think it is 1 1/2 hours I put the dough onto a floured board and then into the greased only loaf pan.  It raises and I bake it approx 30 mins at 350.

2 pound loaf

water @ 80 degrees        1 1/4 cups

oil                                    3 tablespoons

sugar                                3 tablespoons

salt                                    2 tsp

flour                                  4 cups

yeast red star active            1 tablespoon

I follow the same directions as above.
